He worked in Brussels at the European Commission, in the General Directorate for Environment, as well as in the General Directorate for Culture, with the main topic of concern being the legal framework of the illegal circulation of works of art in Europe.
He has been a lawyer since 2000, mainly dealing with Civil cases. Also, cases of Greeks abroad, their representation in foreign and Greek judicial authorities and the conclusion of corporate and private agreements, in Greece and abroad, in all the highest Courts of the country, representing clients and in the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court, as par High Court Lawyer. Following the legal continuity of the Office of his father, Criminologist, former Member of Greek and European Parliament and former MEP Mr. Dimitrios K. Vlachopoulos, today he maintains the office K. Vlachopoulos and Associates in Veria with pan-Hellenic and international reach.
He speaks seven languages, English, French, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish and German and was awarded in the year 2004, in the first pan-Hellenic language competition, organized by the European Union in collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Education.
He was the Director of the General Hospital of Giannitsa, where during his tenure there, he prepared a book entitled “Medical responsibility, legal implications” which was published in 2012.
